Open-air Theatre - ‘The Merchant of Venice’ presented by BArts in conjunction with Illyria.  Money, a Marriage Lottery, Promises and Prejudice, Cross-Dressing and a Courtroom Drama…..  Shakespeare’s play has all the ingredients of a light-hearted romantic comedy, but there are underlying serious issues!  Illyria promise a production to keep you on the edge of your seat!  Adults £16 (£15), Under 16 and Students £9, Family 4 - £45.  Groups by arrangement.  7.30pm, the Spotlight Gardens, Hoddesdon. ‘Stop collaborate and Dance!’ presented by The Stoller School of Dancing.  Children of all ages will be performing in this annual showcase of their talents in a variety of dance styles. ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ by Gilbert and Sullivan presented by BArts with Illyria.  A swashbuckling, rollicking band of pirates, with a strong sense of duty and unexpectedly soft centres,  a bevy of unmarried young ladies, some bumbling British ‘bobbies’...  put all together with Gilbert’s glittering wit and Sullivan’s sparkling songs to make a delightful evening of satirical fun!
