‘Playing For Laughs’ presented by BArts.  The art of comedy goes back to Ancient Greece and Rome. 21ST OPEN AIR THEATRE

Open-air Theatre. Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ presented by BArts in conjunction with The Festival Players International. See this play as Shakespeare himself first saw it, in the open air, with an all male cast and Elizabethan costumes & music.  Shakespeare’s last, and great, play is a triumphant compilation of intrigue, magic, and humour.  Prospero, an exiled Duke with supernatural powers, creates a great storm which sees his enemies shipwrecked on his island.  Magic abounds, plots are exposed, and a colourful array of characters gain their deserts.  Fascinating entertainment. Adults £18, Under 16 and Students £10, Family 4 - £50.  7.30pm, the Spotlight Gardens, Hoddesdon.
